Journal:
Day 1:
It's a difficult adjustment from what I know now. They never said it would be easy tho. I should have guessed... Hosting isn't even the hardest part of leaving the mountain. Its seeing all evil the worlds around us let go unchecked... Almarys is so focused to banishing all unnecessary evil that these outside worlds are... horrifying. I understand now the wellness checks they force us to do when we return. The evil is...
I know I shouldn't focus on it. Beings do good too. I get jealous sometimes, at how good they can be, all I-XIV have to do bad things to survive, but not all beings do. I- I want to be like them. Free of our biological chains.
Day2:
I remember very little about the day Crystella returned to the mountain.. That wasn't even her name... She was an Infected, with a disease able to kill people and leave the souls void of afterlife. It was called Crystal Death because all who got it died without ever reaching The Crystal Afterlife. Their souls were lost, unable to re enter the soul cycle. Crystella wasn't banished because of her disease... she was banished for her beliefs and what she did with them.
She broke the rules that separated the I-XIV from power hunger gluttons. She became focused on using her disease to kill so many people that she had fallen victim to power hunger. She became the exact thing the Infected fought hard to avoid.
I wasn't very old when she was exiled.. She was rather young as well. Still the horrifying expression on her face as she stood before the counsel, before the Imerynse. She had no remorse, she thought this was her purpose. The darkness consumed her. Everyone saw the counsel's sorrow when they exiled her from Almarys... We all knew exile meant death. I-XIVs couldn't live without Almarys... I think about her sometimes.. afraid that could happen to me.
Day3:
There are rumors around the mountain about banishment for I-XIV's found on Firmikrey. No one knows why that rule was implemented. Rarely did I-XIVs ever go to the sister planet... It was never useful. So little people, and most of them were still genetically blessed from the alliance. We never hosted anyone from Firmikrey. Still the rules were implemented. The Eyes think its related to the oddities in the atmosphere that started a few weeks ago. Perhaps Almarys and Dren know more about it then what was told. Secrets were common among them. Still to argue with the planetary body that houses and feeds you sounds crazy, especially with how much more they know then us. Being cautious is in our nature, Inverted Eyes will see it soon, hopefully.
